Overview

High-end Gen5 with DRAM and serious sustained write at 12400/11800 MB/s. Cooling is mandatory, not optional: without airflow it throttles hard. The 2TB is the capacity to buy if you are putting an E26 drive to work rather than just benchmarking one.

    Serious sustained write

For my video scratch drive the sustained write with DRAM is the reason I bought it. With proper cooling it never flinches.

    Great speed, cooling headache

On my board the M.2 heatsink was not enough and it throttled. Added a small fan and it stabilized. Buy the heatsink version, not the bare one.

    Fast, thirsty, hot

Sequential numbers are enormous. Day to day it is not hugely different from a good Gen4, but for large file work it shines. Plan cooling.

    Blazing Gen5, cooling is mandatory

The E26 that started the heat debate. Bought the heatsink SKU and it is fine, but without airflow it throttles hard. 12GB/s reads are real.
